Liverpool Aviation Services (LAS)
was established in 1999 to compliment the services offered by associate company, Ravenair. The company offers private and corporate users of Liverpool John Lennon Airport a one-stop aircraft and passenger handling service as the airport's Fixed Base Operator (FBO) for General and Business Aviation. The company also acts as lead tenant on behalf of the airport authority for activities at the General Aviation apron.
Until LAS began operations no dedicated business aviation facilities existed at Liverpool Airport. Since the formation of the company, LAS has handled a wide variety of aircraft, ranging from microlights to Boeing Business Jets and airliners, together with historic aircraft, military helicopters and fighter jets. The company is permitted to handle aircraft on both the General Aviation apron and the Main airport apron and is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
LAS is run by Managing Director Jeff Nuttall and Operations Director Wayne Barrett. Jeff is a Qualified Flying Instructor and until his recent retirement operated as a captain on Boeing 757 and 767 aircraft. Wayne joined the company in a full-time capacity, bringing with him ten years experience in general aviation, airline operations and airline commercial departments.
